Tim Reaper // Rhythm Incursions Minimix

I saw this this morning and thought Mr Reaper had suddenly got himself a set of decks and learnt how to mix! Sadly not though, its all been laid out in his sequencer (quite how that works I dont know, think decks and records are probably far easier) but it is of no matter. Serious selection from the man. No 'minimal' though :(

"Now, about this mix, it was done in my sequencer because I don’t own any sort of hardware that I could use for DJing, but I still get sent tracks from fellow producers and I buy tracks that I like that get released, so rather than just sitting on the tracks, doing nothing with them, I thought that it would be good to present them in a way.

After doing a minimix to promote a release I was working on, I got into the habit of making these types of minimixes, which I think are a great way to present music in a short but digestible manner, so I did this for you guys, kept it short as it’s only 20 minutes long, but I managed to fit in some great tracks, signed and unsigned from some of my top producers about right now."

Oh man, too short! More please. The way that Nolige track just ends is criminal, felt like the whole thing was just getting going! Great stuff nonetheless. :)

Hard to tell but that second tune is great. Is it coming out? Looking forward to more Tim, get busy!

Nice one Fonik for posting this mix up on here! :)
Choice Rhythms, right now, it's quite unlikely that the 2nd tune will come out, but me & Discography are still trying for labels and when we find one we're happy with, then maybe.

Also, let me back up what Fonik said in his writeup, mixing with decks is much easier than these sequenced mixes. I did an hour long sequenced mix for a forthcoming interview for Dogs On Acid and it probably took me at least 8 hours of loading a track in, getting it in time with the sequencer tempo, adding delay & highpass at the right times, doing that for about 10 tracks and then exporting, then doing another 10 tracks mixed into the exported mix, then repeating that ad nauseum until the mix is an hour long. It's worth it all at the end though. :)
